5 Essential Yoga Poses

5. Vrksasana

Vrksasana is a beneficial balance pose for yoga novices. Stand tall, lean your weight onto one foot, and place the sole of your other foot on your inner thigh or calf (staying clear of the knee). Press your hands together in front of your chest or elevate them towards the ceiling. This pose builds your legs, develops coordination, and boosts mindfulness.
